Finally, the leaks and speculation have been confirmed by NetherRealm Studios. Nightwolf will indeed arrive in Mortal Kombat 11 on August 13th. This date, however, is exclusive to Kombat Pack holders, because of the one-week early access they get to characters. As such, everyone else who simply wants to purchase the character as standalone DLC should be able to do so on August 20th.
The news comes by way of Nightwolf’s first gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11. In the video, Nightwolf’s combat, fatalities, etc. are shown off in gory detail. At the end, a brief screen pops, explaining exactly when fans can expect to get their hands on the classic fighter.

This information has arrived just in time for Evo 2019, the Las Vegas-based fighting tournament that will kick off on August 2nd. For now, it’s unclear as to whether NetherRealm will release anymore details about the remaining batch of DLC characters in the next few days.
Once Nightwolf becomes available this month, Mortal Kombat 11 fans will still be awaiting the launch of four more characters. At present, only two are publicly known–Sindel and Spawn. Meanwhile, speculation suggests the other two guest fighters for MK11 may include the Joker and The Evil Dead’s Ash Williams.
Mortal Kombat 11 hit store shelves this past April for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One. Since then, it’s made quite the splash commercially, launching with record-breaking sales figures for the franchise. For a time, it was even the best-selling title in the United States, according to NPD charts. Yet, in recent weeks, MK11‘s crown has been taken by The Division 2, which now counts as the best-selling game for 2019 so far.
