There were many rumors flying around over the last couple of weeks speculating over the three games to be included in PlayStation Plus this month. Sony has now confirmed that at least one of the rumors was correct. The three September 2021 PlayStation Plus free games are Overcooked! All You Can Eat for PlayStation 5, and Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds for PS4. These new games go live on Tuesday September 7.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat includes all content from Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2. In addition, it also features online multiplayer for the levels from the first title, new chefs, new levels, new outfits for the existing chefs, and more accessibility options. The game recently got a free Birthday Party update to celebrate the franchise’s fifth anniversary with new levels, a chef, and a brand new recipe. Despite being released on PS4 in March, only the PS5 version of the game will be included in the PlayStation Plus Instant Games Collection.
Hitman 2 dropped the rebooted franchise’s episodic format and released all six of the new locations in one package. Once again Agent 47 has targets to assassinate and a range of tools to be able to do so, including a fish and a rather fetching flamingo outfit. Be aware the Ghost mode servers have been shut down, but the rest of the game’s modes are still available. The Hitman 2 levels can be imported into Hitman 3 for owners of that game to play them there as well, and any Hitman 2 save files can also be transferred.
Predator: Hunting Grounds is an asymmetrical multiplayer shooter that pits a Fireteam of four players against the Predator, who comes armed with weapons like the shoulder-mounted Plasma Caster and Combistick. New content is continually being added to the game. Yesterday’s update introduced the NRV-E, more of Isabelle’s tapes to provide lore, and friendly Fireteam bots. There was also a new premium DLC female Predator character in the form of Cleopatra.
All three titles will be available for download from September 7. They’ll disappear from the collection on October 4, but once the games have been redeemed they can be downloaded at any time as long as you maintain an active PS Plus subscription. There’s just six days left to grab the current PlayStation Plus titles too; Hunters Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2 all disappear on September 6.
