Hell Let Loose Release Date

Hell Let Loose Arrives on PS5 Next Month, PS5 Exclusive Open Beta Begins Next Week

Hell Let Loose will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 5. Before the game is released fully, developer Black Matter and publisher Team17 have revealed there will be a PS5 exclusive open beta beginning on September 16.

The beta will give players a taste of the Warfare mode. This sees two teams of 50 players fighting for control of the Hurtgen Forest map. At the start, each team will occupy half of the map but will then need to push their enemies back to secure more territory for themselves. The match ends when a team reaches their opponent’s base. Otherwise, the winner is the team holding the most ground when the match timer has ended.

When Hell Let Loose launches, it will also include Offensive mode with teams assuming the roles of attacker and defender. There will be a total of ten maps set on the Western Front, including Omaha Beach, Carentan, the forests of Foy, and Hill 400. Each of those maps will have 99 capture point variations offering thousands of different battles and making it incredibly unlikely players will ever fight the same battle twice. More maps from the Eastern Front will be added as part of a free, post-launch update later this year.

Each team of 50 players will be divided into armor, infantry, and recon. Officers will lead each section with an overall player-commander dictating the team’s direction. There will be 14 different roles available, including Officer, Medic, Machinegunner, Commander, Crewman, Sniper, Engineer, Tank Crewmen, and Support.

Once Hell Let Loose is released on October 5, PlayStation 5 players will be able to play the game with Xbox Series X/S players through cross-play, but that won’t include PC. Preorders have opened on Xbox and will reward players with a cosmetic The Silver Vanguard DLC. Preorder bonuses for PS5 have not yet been revealed.
