Latest Marvel’s Avengers Roadmap Promises PS Exclusive Spider-Man Hero Event and Hawkeye Disney+ Tie-In Challenge

Square Enix has revealed the latest roadmap for Marvel’s Avengers. While most of September’s content is going to be celebrating the game’s first anniversary, a series of events throughout the rest of 2021 include the much-promised PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man Hero Event and a Nameplate Challenge that ties in with Disney+’s Hawkeye series.

Two permanent quests have been added already. “Rise & Shine” is a daily quest that gives Fragments and Upgrade Modules when completed, whereas the weekly quest “Up for the Challenge” gives a Fragment Booster, Hero’s Catalyst, and Units. There’s also a free Thor outfit and Hero’s Catalyst in the marketplace for all players, and those who log in before September 16 and who have completed the four story-based campaigns will get a celebratory nameplate.

September’s community activities include daily Priority Rush Missions, an activity that “greatly increases the spawn rate of the Cargo Runner Synthoid,” and a rewards cache for completing Campaign Flashback missions. A Bonus XP event is also scheduled for some time this month.

Further into the future, the game’s first raid will conclude Klaue’s story from the War for Wakanda expansion and promises to be the “most challenging content yet.” Klaw has created sound constructs called Echoes and they’re not happy to see the heroes. The Power Level has been increased to 175 for better reward drops too. Other events include the return of the Corrupted Vibranium, Red Room Takeover, Tachyon Anomaly and Cosmic Threat events before the end of the year. A Hawkeye Nameplate Challenge will be the first of the Disney+ program tie-ins that will also include more MCU outfits. The PlayStation exlcusive Spider-Man Hero Event will be here before 2022 too with more information on this promised for closer to launch.

Finally, several of Marvel’s Avenger’s systems are being reworked. A new Gear system will allow players to upgrade Epic, Legendary, & Exotic gear from power level 100 to the new power level cap. The team is also looking at improving Hero Set Gear. Meanwhile, resources will now have a “single specific purpose” with the exception of Fragments. For example, Polychoron will only be used for upgrading major artifacts. There will also be more ways to earn cosmetics in game. More details on all of these will be revealed in the future.
