Deathloop UK Sales

Deathloop Tops UK Physical Sales Charts In First Week of Release

Deathloop reached first place in UK physical sales this week, unseating Nintendo’s Wario Ware: Get it Together and NBA 2K22. Alongside Deathloop at the top was another popular PS5 title, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, coming in at second place despite launching last year. The sales numbers are for the week ending on September 18, 2021.

Notably, these numbers only include boxed physical sales and do not take into account digital downloads, which would theoretically boost Deathloop’s sales even higher. Unfortunately, Bethesda does not share digital download sales, meaning we won’t get to see any specific numbers. Furthermore, while the first-place spot sounds impressive, Deathloop‘s sales are actually slightly lower than Arkane studio’s previous title PREY—though again, this does not take into account digital sales. In fact, it’s technically the lowest selling Arkane game released so far, but the advent of digital sales increasing in recent years could tell another story.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales also jumped from 13th to 2nd place, with sales increasing about 223% due to an influx of new PS5s coming in. Similarly, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart rose back up to 4th with a 630% increase, and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut to 6th with a 233% increase in sales. Bandai Namco’s Tales of Arise, however, dropped down to 14th place after taking second place last week. Overall, there are a total of three PlayStation exclusives in the top 10 charts.

Below is the UK physical sales chart, courtesy of Gamesindustry.biz:

  1. Deathloop (PC, PS5)
  2. Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4, PS5)
  3. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (Switch)
  4. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (PS5)
  5. Minecraft (Switch)
  6. Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut (PS4, PS5)
  7. Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch)
  8. Wario Ware: Get It Together (Switch)
  9. F1 2021 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC)
  10. NBA 2K22 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Switch, PC)

While Arkane Studios released Deathloop for the PC alongside the PS5, Sony previously stated that it won’t be coming to other consoles for at least an entire year. If you’re interested in reading more about Deathloop, you can check out our official PS5 review.
