Super Monkey Ball is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Aside from the upcoming release of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania in just a few days time, one of the ways they’re celebrating is by collaborating with Mediatonic to add an AiAi costume to Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout for a limited time. The costume is available from today.
The AiAi costume comes complete with his signature orange ‘A’ t-shirt and large ears. As usual, the costume comes in two halves, with the upper and lower halves costing 5 crowns each. The costume will only be available to purchase from today, September 27, until September 30.
Fall Guys Season 5 promised plenty of crossover costumes when it launched back in July. Spelunky Guy was included in the game at the season’s launch. Since then there have been limited time Ratchet and Clank and Kena: Bridge of Spirits events that included two costumes apiece, while a Jungle Book collaboration offered a King Louie event and three more costumes for purchase with Kudos. According to a data leak, other collaboration costumes we’re due to see this season include Astro Bot from Astro’s Playroom and SackBoy from LittleBigPlanet.
Meanwhile, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will be arriving on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on October 5. The upcoming release is a collection of HD remasters of the first three games of the franchise, Super Monkey Ball 1, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. The collection will also include a variety of new features including an online competitive leaderboard, photo mode, character customisation, upgraded graphics, and new game modes like Golden Banana Mode, Dark Banana Mode and Reverse Mode. There will also be a huge variety of accessibility options like full camera control, increased time limits, guide arrows, slow motion, and even the option to skip a stage that’s too difficult.
