Ember Lab co-founder Mike Grier has told IGN in a video interview that the studio plans to support Kena: Bridge of Spirits for a while, and is already mulling over options like expanding combat scenarios, updating Photo Mode, and adding new content.
“We definitely want to support the game,” Grier said. “We know that people love Photo Mode and the combat, so we’re thinking about things we do to, sort of, expand some new combat scenarios or maybe some additional content in the future featured around combat. We want to make some updates to Photo Mode. People have been asking for certain features that would be easy to do.”
Grier also reminded fans that Ember Lab is a small studio, so things may take some time.
“So yeah, we’ll definitely be supporting Kena for a while,” he continued. “You know, we are definitely a small team, and we’re very excited to see people playing the game and responding to it. So yeah, we’re listening. We’re listening to feedback, listening to what people have to say, and we’ll be here, supporting the game for the next foreseeable future.”
Kena: Bridge of Spirits launched to a positive reception. Its PlayStation 5 version currently holds a score of 81/100 on Metacritic based on 54 critic reviews.
PlayStation LifeStyle reviewer Jenny Jones praised Kena for its stunning graphics, and fast and fluid combat. However, she noted that the narrative fell a little short. If you haven’t already, make sure to read the full review for additional details.
