Closing out the year-long Gates of Oblivion campaign is The Elder Scrolls Online: Deadlands, the final DLC in the 2021 year of content. Sporting more recognizable environments from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, this “action packed 20-hour finale” will let players explore new areas and find new allies in the fight against Dagon. The Elder Scrolls Online: Deadlands is launching in November, available as part of ESO Plus or separately in the Crown Store.
The three main new areas are The Burn, The Sever, and Fargrave. The Burn is all metal and fire. The Sever is a region new to Elder Scrolls games, featuring winds and storms. And finally, Fargrave is one of the biggest cities ever seen in The Elder Scrolls Online, surrounded by giant skeletons. Players can stop off here to craft, buy, and sell goods, however, this curious desert cityscape is a land of the dead, and the challenge may be in finding what’s valuable to beings that don’t need to eat, drink, or rest.
Additionally, a new update will add Spanish to the available localization languages. This will bring Spanish to all in-game texts and subtitles, covering all past, current, and future updates for the game. The Elder Scrolls Online boasts 19 million players from over 240 countries since its launch in 2014, and adding Spanish is part of continued localization efforts.
There is also currently a Bounties of Blackwood in-game event running, allowing the community to work together to earn rewards by earning the Blackwood Pathfinder achievement. The event trailer also hints at the ability to “unlock Deadlands DLC for free.” Rewards earned include a free Pellucid Swamp Jelly pet and free Shadows of Blackwood markings.
Bounties of Blackwood is going on now, and will run until Tuesday, October 12 at 10am EDT.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Deadlands is coming November 1 for all PC, Mac, and Stadia players, then launches on November 16 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4
players. Patch notes for update 32 will be available on the official forums at a later date. Deadlands and Update 32 are available to try out now on ESO’s test server.
