Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Trophy Art

Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remaster Trophy Art Leaked, Still No Confirmation From Rockstar

Another leak has added further evidence to an upcoming Grand Theft Auto remastered trilogy, and this time it’s a long list of trophy art for the rumored collection of classic GTA titles. In addition to the leaked trophy/achievement art, some users were able to find new references to the three games—Grand Theft Auto IIIGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City—in the code of Rockstar’s recently updated game launcher program.

As users documented in the GTA forums, the leaked material consists of trophy artwork from the original GTA trilogy. Most of the trophy artwork found is similar or identical to those used in the PS2 ports of the games on the PS4. However, some new additions have users asking questions about possible additional content.

Namely, the trophy art of a regular basketball and—more importantly—the art of Bigfoot’s, well, foot, are causing some speculation. The bigfoot trophy is likely a reference to an older joke back during the release of San Andreas, in which there was a rumor that Bigfoot existed in the game. Whether this means that Rockstar will finally add the urban myth into San Andreas is yet to be confirmed, it is definitely interesting to see an entire trophy dedicated to something related to Bigfoot.

Furthermore, users were also able to find several mentions of the GTA titles within the Rockstar Games Launcher, all but confirming that the remastered trilogy will appear on PC. Coupled with the fact that the previous Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee listing stated the game would release for the PS4 and PS5, we can assume that the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will likely be a multiplatform launch. Interestingly, the code also reveals that the game will somehow utilize the Unreal Engine, indicating that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition may not just be a simple remaster.

Rockstar has yet to confirm the existence of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
