Caviar Launches Solid Gold PS5, Which Comes With Crocodile Leather DualSense, for Over $350,000

Russian company Caviar, most known for luxury iPhones and cases, has made good on its promise to launch a solid gold PlayStation 5. Now available in two variations for over $350,000, this is one console you can be sure that scalpers and bots won’t beat you to, so hurry up and sell your house.

Caviar’s PS5 case is made out of solid 18K yellow gold, and is embossed with an ornate pattern. The base is a custom-made natural ebony stand, and the DualSense overlay is made out of genuine leather. The analog sticks are made out of gold.

“Now a game console is not only a way to have a great time, but also an opportunity to decorate the interior with an exclusive gadget in a truly golden design,” reads a sales pitch by Caviar. “In total, five Caviar Sony PlayStation 5 Prime Gold models will be created for almost eight billion people in the world, in honor of the fifth Sony console.”

Another version of Caviar’s solid gold PS5 carries a rocky look, and is apparently made from eight sheets cast in solid gold with its edges embossed. In this variation, the DualSense overlay is made out of crocodile leather. The price tag is $366,310 since crocodiles were harmed in the making.

“The case of this exclusive gadget is made in the original jewelry technique, which adds volume and texture to the model,” wrote Caviar. “The inspiration for the designers was the unique geometry of the gold ore and the graceful, beautiful outlines of the rock. That is why the console was named Golden Rock.”

Can’t afford it? Fret not! Caviar has three other PlayStation 5 models: a gold plated version for $12,750, an alligator leather console for $8,140, and a console encased in carbon for $5,830.
