Guerrilla Hiring Devs to ‘Expand’ Horizon Universe and Oversee ‘Externally Produced’ Horizon Games

Guerrilla Games has posted a job advertisement for a Co-Dev Producer, the wording of which seems to imply that the developer has Horizon game projects in the works at external studios.

Spotted by ResetEra user modiz, the role is based in Amsterdam and will place the successful candidate in a “specialized group overseeing externally produced game projects.” The main goal is to “expand the Horizon universe in new and exciting directions.”

The advertisement reads:

Guerrilla’s Franchise & Community Team aims to establish, maintain and expand the Horizon brand. This includes looking after the community, marketing, public relations, licensing and all franchise building aspects of the Horizon brand. The team also looks after the Guerrilla studio brand and culture.

As a Co-Dev Producer at Guerrilla, you will help us expand the Horizon universe in new and exciting directions. In this role, you will be part of a specialized group overseeing externally produced game projects. You will function as an integral extension of both the internal and external development team.

Guerrilla further wrote that having “extensive” knowledge of Horizon Zero Dawn is a plus. Hmmm.

A Horizon virtual reality project has been rumored for a while, and more recently, there were rumors of a standalone Horizon multiplayer game in the works. Sony Interactive Entertainment has also said on numerous occasions that it plans to expand its successful franchises to mobile, PC, and beyond. Guerrilla is currently hiring for a number of roles, some of which are specifically listed for the Horizon franchise.

We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
