Report: New Splinter Cell Game Will Feature an Open World Similar to Halo Infinite

Since we all love climbing towers, synchronizing viewpoints, and defogging maps in Ubisoft’s games, the company has reportedly decided that it’s rumored new Splinter Cell game will be an open world of sorts.

That’s according to known insider and reliable leaker Tom Henderson, who’s heard through his sources that Splinter Cell will be “a more stealthy version of Assassin’s Creed” and its open world aspect will be “similar to how Halo Infinite has done its open world.” All that’s left to add is an XP grind and 500 hours of game time, and we’re looking at yet another Ubisoft open-world game.

Sarcasm aside, Splinter Cell is still in early development so anything can change. However, Henderson has a good track record so we’re not dismissing this report.

Ubisoft has yet to formally announce the next Splinter Cell, but its existence has been confirmed by multiple outlets and insiders. We’ve also heard that the studio play tested a Splinter Cell-style game earlier this year, and it featured Hitman-like elements, which falls in line with what Henderson said about it being a “more stealthy version of Assassin’s Creed.”

We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
