Since its 2020 launch, it’s been pretty slow going for the PS5. Big exclusive PlayStation 5 releases have been few and far between. Thankfully, the quality has made up for the lack of quantity, but if you’re anything like me, you’re more than ready for the next slew of titles. For those who still haven’t managed to secure a PS5, even with the help of our restock posts, the good news is that many of 2022’s PS5 releases will also be available on PS4 (and PC).
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (PS5)
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will launch exclusively for PS5 on January 28.
The collection includes both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. PS5-exclusive enhancements include different performance modes, faster load times, 3D audio, and additional immersive through the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Sifu (PS5, PS4)
Sifu will launch for PS5 and PS4 on February 8.
Put up your fists and get ready to fight! Sifu puts players into the shoes of a young Kung-Fu student who is sent down a path of revenge. This game is all about hand-to-hand combat, which involves mastering positioning and clever use of the environment to win fights.
Horizon Forbidden West (PS5, PS4)
Horizon Forbidden West is set to launch for PS5 and PS4 on February 18.
This sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn continues the adventure of Aloy as she explores the Forbidden West, “a majestic but dangerous frontier that conceals mysterious new threats.” Players can expect to fight bigger and more threatening machines, interact with new tribes, and discover why Earth is heading towards another extinction event.

Babylon’s Fall (PS5, PS4)
Babylon’s Fall will release for PS5 and PS4 on March 3.
It might be a brand new IP, but the game’s developer, PlatinumGames, has a well-established reputation for awesome action games. In the team’s latest effort, players will join a group of warriors who wield unique weapons and use special equipment called “Gideon Coffins.” Yup, it sounds expectedly bonkers. The good news for co-op fans is that Babylon’s Fall will have online co-op support for up to four players.

Gran Turismo 7 (PS5, PS4)
Gran Turismo 7 is set to launch on March 4 for PS5 and PS4.
It’s almost time for a next-generation version of this “Real Driving Simulator” to release. While PS5 players will no doubt enjoy the best visuals, as well as the enhanced haptic and trigger effects, PS4 owners will still be able to enjoy GT7 with its last-gen support. Soon players will be able to create their dream garage of cars and drive them with gameplay mechanics tailored to a more realistic experience.

Forspoken (PS5)
Forspoken is going to release for PS5 on May 24.
With no PS4 version to potentially hold it back, Forspoken will be able to make full use of the PS5 hardware. This action RPG follows Frey, a young New Yorker that is transported to the world of Athia. While she tries to work out how to get back home, Frey must utilize newly-learned magical powers to master traversing the wild environments and battle monstrous creatures.

Stray (PS5, PS4)
Stray is set to release in for PS5 and PS4 in 2022.
After having its 2021 release date pushed back, Stray is now down to release sometime this year. Annapurna Interactive hasn’t yet confirmed when exactly eager gamers can expect this cat simulator to release, but hopefully it’s soon. Controlling a stray cat, players must explore a futuristic world accompanied by a small drone called “B12.”
God of War Ragnarok (PS5, PS4)
God of War Ragnarok is currently set to release for PS5 and PS4 in 2022.
The sequel to one of 2018’s biggest PlayStation exclusives promises to conclude the story of Kratos and Atreus. Though some were expecting a trilogy, developer Sony Santa Monica has confirmed that this will be the “finale of the Norse saga.” Expect to hear more about an exact launch date soon (and hopefully not a delay).
Tchia (PS5, PS4)
Tchia will release on PS5 and PS4 during spring 2022.
This tropical open-world adventure game sees players climbing, gliding, swimming, sailing as the titular character. This title is described as a “physics-driven sandbox,” with Tchia able to take control of any animal or object. Yes, this includes dogs, birds, and… tires?
PSVR 2? (PS5)
With the recent announcement of PSVR 2, many PlayStation fans are wondering whether than can expect a 2022 release date for the next-gen VR headset.
If the PSVR 2 does launch this year, then there’s no doubt going to be a bunch of other exclusive PS5 games to get hyped for. These will include Horizon Call of the Mountain, a newly-revealed Horizon spin-off.
