COD Vanguard Season 2 Release Date

Call of Duty: Vanguard and COD Warzone Pacific Season 2 Delayed

Call of Duty: Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, and Modern Warfare have all been beset by a variety of issues over the previous weeks, including with weapons and equipment, map rotation, killstreaks, perks, and Zombies mode, as well as matchmaking across the board. One of the knock-on effects of the developer’s continued efforts to address these problems is that the release date for Season 2 of COD Vanguard and Warzone Pacific has now been delayed until the middle of February.

When is the Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 2 release date?

Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 will now be released on February 14. Previously due to be released on February 2, the additional 12 days will be used to “deliver updates, including optimizations to gameplay, game balancing (including weapon and equipment balancing), to fix game stability and bugs, and to ensure an overall level of polish to improve the experience for players across Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare.” The developers had previously acknowledged players’ frustrations with the games and assured them they were actively working on solutions. However, Activision employees have blamed the issues on poor leadership and their failure to communicate directly with employees.

The contents of Season 2 are still a mystery as neither Sledgehammer nor Raven Software have revealed anything yet. However, it’s fair to assume the season will introduce new weapons, Operators, themed events, and a Battle Pass. There will be extra maps and game modes too, although these could either be brand new or remastered versions from previous game. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear more.

In other news, Sony’s stock value dropped by $20 billion after Microsoft announced they had agreed to acquire Activision. Elsewhere, a new Horizon Forbidden West trailer introduced a brand new character called Tilda, who will be voiced by The Matrix star Carrie-Ann Moss.
