Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Boss Team Games have delayed Evil Dead: The Game once again. Originally scheduled for release in 2021, the game was pushed to February 2022 but now has a new release date of May 13, 2022. Over on Twitter, Saber Interactive said that it needs more time to make a game that’s worthy of the franchise and is “groovy as hell.”
Why Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed yet again
“This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May,” Saber explained. While thanking fans for their patience and understanding, the developer assured them that it won’t be too long before there’s more news. Additionally, a brand new trailer will be released this month. The previous decision to delay Evil Dead was also made to polish the game further.

Opinion: New Evil Dead game release date takes some burden off of February
Zarmena writes… February and March are packed with new game releases, including some highly-anticipated games. Whatever the reason behind Evil Dead‘s delay, it’s probably for the best because it would have been swallowed by big-budget AAAs. A three-month delay also gives people time to build up their gaming budget again after being battered in the first quarter of the year.
