Those who don’t have a PlayStation Plus membership will be able to sample multiplayer modes in their PS5 and PS4 games for free over the Valentine’s Day weekend. The free Online Multiplayer Weekend starts on both consoles on February 12.
When does the Online Multiplayer Weekend begin?
The free Online Multiplayer Weekend begins at 12:01 am local time on February 12, 2022 on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Throughout the weekend, all multiplayer modes that would usually require a PlayStation Plus subscription to access will be available for all players regardless of whether they have a subscription or not. The weekend will finish at 11:59PM local time on February 14.

Players without a PS Plus membership will not be able to download the free PlayStation Plus Instant Games Collection titles during the Online Multiplayer Weekend. This means you will still need a membership to grab Planet Coaster, EA Sports UFC 4 and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure. You will also need a membership to grab any of the other benefits like the PS Plus exclusive packs in Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends.
In other news, Horizon Forbidden West will launch with plenty of accessibility options to make sure the game can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. This includes several difficulty levels, gameplay assists, and options for audio, visual and controller customization. More accessibility options will be added by Guerrilla Games after the game launches.
