Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Version Expected to Release Tomorrow Thanks to Xbox Leak

Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a Twitch stream tomorrow. While some players were just expecting an updated content roadmap, it seems like we’ll be getting the surprise release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S native versions of the game instead if a leak from the Xbox console is to be any indication.

When will Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 be released?

Cyberpunk 2077 had been promised for release on PS5 during Q1 2022 and we’re right in the middle of that now. However, players are expecting this version of the game to be released tomorrow, February 15, although nothing has been officially announced by CD Projekt Red. The aforementioned Twitch stream will be held on the CDProjektRed channel at 4PM CET on February 15 when the announcement is expected to be made.

The reason for this assumption is that Reddit users who own the game on Xbox consoles are reporting the game icon has changed to show the X|S symbol, which only happens once the game has been enhanced for the Xbox Series X|S consoles. A new update is also available in some regions. Nothing has appeared on the PlayStation Store yet although the PS5 version of the game was spotted on a PlayStation Network server at the end of January.

CD Projekt revealed in November that the new-gen versions of the game are also expected to be accompanied by a big update. Whether this will be the start of their plans to “gradually” add multiplayer features to Cyberpunk 2077 remains to be seen. There may also be the continuation of the game’s free DLC that started (and then came to a stop) with an alternate appearance for Johnny Silverhand, some clothing options, and a new vehicle.

In other news, injuries sustained while using VR headsets have caused a huge spike in insurance claims, as well as for those to cover damaged property. Elsewhere, a demo for Babylon’s Fall will arrive on PS5 and PS4 towards the end of February.
