Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.06

Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.06 Means Aloy Won’t Constantly Mention Her Stash

Guerrilla Games has released Patch 1.06 for Horizon Forbidden West. While the patch fixes many of the issues reported by players since the game’s release, including instances of game crashes and Aloy’s obsession with her stash, there are still some known issues like repeating music tracks that are still being sorted out.

Horizon Forbidden West update 1.06 patch notes

Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.06 was released on PS5 and PS4 today, March 2. Included amongst its many bug fixes and gameplay improvements were multiple crash fixes, which should hopefully alleviate some of the visual freezes introduced since Patch 1.05. The patch also fixes pop-in during cinematics and more of the “unintentional loading screens/black screens” throughout the game.

One of the irritations players will be glad is fixed is that Aloy won’t mention her stash “quite as often as before”.There are also plenty of fixes to main and side missions, including several progression blockers during the “Reach for the Stars” tutorial mission and some overeager machines. World activities haven’t been forgotten either as cauldrons, melee pits, salvage contracts, Machine Strike, signal towers and the Arena have all received attention, mainly for visual glitches and save issues.

Finally, a variety of graphics issues including blurring, camera jittering, unexpected lighting changes, lack of detail, and incorrect models have all been fixed. You can find a full list of all of the fixes in the patch notes on the r/horizon subreddit. Unfortunately there are still some issues to be fixed, including repeating music tracks, Firegleam icons that don’t disappear, and the inability to reach 100%.

In other news, Sony’s PlayStation brand continues to dominate the console gaming market, accruing just under 50% of the share through 2021. Unsurprisingly, digital spending is on the rise as players continue to move away from retail releases while spending on online services like PS Plus and PlayStation Now continues to grow. Elsewhere, Capcom has announced they’re making Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard for Playstation 5 later this year.
