Critically-acclaimed Murder Mystery Paradise Killer Headed to PS5, PS4

Developer Kaizen Game Works and publisher Fellow Traveller have announced Paradise Killer PS5 and PS4 versions. The critically-acclaimed open-world murder mystery will release on Sony’s platforms as well as Xbox One and Series X/S on March 16th with brand-new content. Paradise Killer originally released in 2020 on the Nintendo Switch and PC and earned a positive reception.

Paradise Killer PS5 features and new content

Paradise Killer’s PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will support 4K at 60 frames-per-second, ray tracing, and super-fast loading among other next-gen enhancements. On the PS5 specifically, the game will utilize the DualSense‘s haptics and will feature a day/night lightbar cycle. New content includes new soundtrack, new in-game characters, quests, rewards, and collectibles. Kaizen Game Works will also release a new soundtrack album alongside Paradise Killer’s new versions.

For those who aren’t familiar with Paradise Killer, the game draws inspiration from the works of of H. P. Lovecraft and Franz Kafka, as well as video games like Danganronpa. An official synopsis reads:

Paradise is an island that regenerates every few millennia. The psychic power that the alien worshipers within release into the universe is meant to feed and eventually resurrect their fallen deities. But this force also attracts undesired interest from demons, who eventually corrupt each island—until a new alternate reality is birthed by the Council. The system isn’t perfect, but it will be one day—on Perfect 25, the next island-to-be. But on the eve of rebirth, the Council is murdered and Paradise is killed.

Players will step into the shoes of Lady Love Dies, an investigator who has been tasked with finding the killer and securing a conviction in order to save Paradise. But apparently, facts and truth are “not the same.”
