The announcement of crossplay comes along with the reveal of the fifth and last DLC character for Season 1, the recurring, pale, and red-eyed Testament. The “elegant grim reaper” uses demon familiars and long-range scythe attacks. Testament will arrive early for Season Pass 1 owners on March 28 and will be available for individual purchase on March 31.

After the planned maintenance on March 28, Season Pass 1 owners can also expect a Digital Figure Mode that allows players to create tailored snapshots of their favorite characters in various outfits and poses. Furthermore, there will an additional stage called White House Reborn that features, as it sounds, the White House under a process of reconstruction after the events of the story.

The last item in the first Season Pass, scheduled to release at the end of April, will showcase an alternative perspective to the main campaign called “Another Story.” This twist to the lore will highlight characters who haven’t made an appearance yet in the main story.

As for Season 2, four new characters are slated for release, and according to producer Takeshi Yamanaka, these will be “characters that everyone’s been waiting for.” Per usual, Arc System Works plans on making multiplayer modes even smoother with further stabilization of the network and reduced connections times to the game servers.

On the competitive scene, the Arc World Tour 2022 will make a comeback featuring both Guilty Gear Strive and DNF Duel, described as a “fighting game adaptation of the popular online action RPG Dungeon Fighter Online.” The prize pool for each game will be $100,000, and the Arc World Tour Final will be sponsored by Nexon.

In other news, A Plague Tale is turning into a TV series and Tekken will also be turning into an anime on Netflix.
