One of the Last Witcher 3 Easter Eggs Has Been Found

YouTuber xLetalis has discovered what is believed to be one of the last The Witcher 3 Easter Eggs in the game’s Blood and Wine expansion pack. It’s pretty fitting that the Easter Egg has been found nearly seven years after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s launch because the little secret requires passing seven in-game years! This article may contain spoilers so proceed at your own risk.

New Witcher 3 Easter Egg explained

In Blood and Wine, there is a quest called The Warble of a Smitten Knight, which revolves around Vivienne de Tabris. The lady-in-waiting to Duchess Anna Henrietta, the Toussaint woman was cursed to have a bird-like appearance before she was born and Geralt is tasked with helping her lift the curse. One of the ways to lift the curse is to trap it inside an oriole egg, giving Vivienne just seven years to live a normal life. Players who choose this option and end up fast-forwarding the next seven years will find Vivienne’s lifeless body in Yennefer’s room at Kaer Trolde Harbour. This is demonstrated by xLetalis in the video below.

CD Projekt RED’s acting lead quest designer Philipp Weber has told IGN that he’s not sure if this is The Witcher 3’s final secret. “I’m not sure if it’s the last secret, but it for sure is pretty close,” he said. “Everyone hid so many details during the last months of development that people are probably still going to find something new one day. For sure this is the Easter Egg I hid the most out of all the ones I did, so it’s quite impressive it was finally found.”

In other news, Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Innocence is being turned into a television series, and Supermassive Games has said that even your grandparents will be able to play The Quarry.
