Once again, the PlayStation Plus games for the next month have leaked before Sony makes an official announcement. The rumor claims three games are included in the PS Plus lineup for April 2022; these are Hood: Outlaws & Legends for PS5 and PS4, as well as Slay the Spire and SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated for PS4.
Three Upcoming PS Plus Titles
According to serial leaker billbil-kun on Dealabs, the PlayStation 5 title for April 2022 will be Hood: Outlaws and Legends. The game, which is loosely based on the legend of Robin Hood, pits two teams of four in a battle to steal treasure seized from the people of the State, which is now stored in a heavily guarded fortress. Successful players can spend their ill-gotten gains in their hideout, but there’s a catch. Return the money to the people and the range of items in the shop will increase. Keeping the money will actually allow you to buy them. This title will also be available on PlayStation 4.
Slay the Spire is a combination of roguelike and collectible card game. Every attempt players make to climb the spire will reveal more cards to help them defeat enemies and eventually reach the top. The spire’s layout changes every time with different enemies and bosses to defeat, and new relics to find. The relics will enhance the cards within a deck but can also come at quite a cost.
Finally, SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a remaster of the beloved PlayStation 2 game. SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Mr. Krabs have to save their underwater home from a robot invasion after Plankton attempts to steal the the Krabby Patty Secret formula. Sony would usually confirm the April 2022 PS Plus games tomorrow, March 30, so we’ll see if the rumor is true. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear anything more.
In other news, Activision design executive Josh Bridge has admitted the sheer size of Call of Duty: Warzone is driving players away, especially with updates that involve massive downloads. Elsewhere, Naughty Dog has removed mobile tie-in game Uncharted: Fortune Hunter from the App store and closed its servers, although players can still play offline for now.
