The long-rumored Bloober Team Silent Hill project is reportedly a Silent Hill 2 remake that will launch as a timed PlayStation-exclusive, according to two known insiders. The rumor was first shared by a popular leaker who goes by the user name NateTheHate on Twitter, with journalist Jeff Grubb chiming in to say that he’s heard similar things from multiple sources and all the leaks now seem to be “lining up.”
What we know about the rumored Bloober Team Silent Hill game
According to NateTheHate, Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake will feature reworked puzzles and new endings. Both him and Grubb have mentioned that there’s some sort of an exclusivity agreement in place for PlayStation but we’re not sure if it’s PS5-exclusive or both PS4 and PS5-exclusive. NateTheHate believes the game will be be timed exclusive.
Before you go on and get all disappointed, do note that every single high-profile insider and trustworthy publication that has talked about Silent Hill in recent years has heard that there are multiple Silent Hill projects in development, so the Bloober Team game is unlikely to be all that we’re getting after an excruciatingly long wait. NateTheHate claims that there is a new mainline entry in development alongside “side stories,” but it’s unclear what he means by the latter. Smaller, spin-off projects, perhaps?
This is the stuff I’ve heard, and it comes from multiple different sources. Not all of my sources are primary, but everything is mostly lining up. To me, the biggest indicator is the stuff I’ve seen lines up with Konami doing a big reveal at E3 last year before it pulled out. https://t.co/GzUb3jzrwX

With all these leaks, it’s starting to look like we’re going to hear something in an official capacity sooner rather than later.
In other news, screenshots from one of the rumored Silent Hill projects leaked last week, and Bloober Team recently announced a license and distribution agreement with Sony.
