The PlayStation State of Play livestream is about to begin shortly, and we’re hosting the event here for our readers like good ol’ times. If you prefer to watch the event on Twitch then head over to the official PlayStation channel but we hope you stick around here for the discussion!

Sony has confirmed that today’s showcase will last approximately 30 minutes and will focus on third-party partners and PSVR 2 games (Horizon: Call of the Mountain is already confirmed to appear). When it comes to third-party partners, expect a mix of smaller games as well as AAAs. We expect Stray‘s release date to be announced at the event and if recent tweets by Hideo Kojima and his staffers are anything to go by, Kojima Productions might make an appearance as well – whether that’ll be with Death Stranding 2 or the rumored VR game is anybody’s guess right now.

Then, there’s Silent Hill. We’ve been continuously hearing about a timed PlayStation-exclusive Silent Hill 2 remake in production at Bloober Team. The studio has confirmed its appearance at the Summer Game Fest, which State of Play is part of, but it could very well be set to appear at the main event starting June 9th.

No first-party games are set to appear at the event so don’t expect God of War Ragnarok in any capacity (you can keep your fingers crossed for miracles, though)!

We’ll be covering the highlights so keep an eye on PlayStation LifeStyle’s homepage. We’ll also be doing a full round-up with all the announcements in due course so make sure to check back on Friday morning.

As always, participate in the comments below and share your thoughts/opinions with us and fellow readers.
