Sonic Frontiers‘ release date has apparently been leaked in a trailer released by Sega, and it looks like the platformer will launch a day before God of War Ragnarok.
When is the Sonic Frontiers release date?
Sonic Frontiers is seemingly set for a November 8, 2022 release date, according to a new trailer uploaded by Sega before quickly being pulled offline. The end of the trailer briefly showed a date for the upcoming release before the video was made private.

This release date is notable given that it’s one day before God of War Ragnarok, one of the year’s most highly anticipated games. While Sonic the Hedgehog and God of War don’t exactly share the same audiences, typically publishers are keen to avoid releasing their games alongside other major launches. It was recently claimed that several publishers have deliberately moved their games out of Ragnarok’s way, so as not to have their sales impacted by the sequel.
Since God of War Ragnarok’s November 9 release date was revealed, some have speculated that it will face further delays. However, producer Cory Barlog recently tweeted that this would not be the case, and that the game would meet its planned launch. Coincidentally, Sega has also stated that Sonic Frontiers wouldn’t receive further delays, after being pushed out of its initial 2021 release window.
