Vampyr Studio Don’t Nod Co-Developing New Action-RPG

Vampyr dev Don’t Nod has announced that it is co-developing a new action-RPG, which it will also be publishing, with Italy-based Tiny Bull Studios. Tiny Bull is an independent studio, with its most notable console games being PSVR/PS4 title Blind and Omen Exitio: Plague. Tiny Bull also has mobile games like Space Connect in its portfolio.

Don’t Nod is most known for games like Life Is Strange but has had quite a lot of success with Vampyr, which is an outlier in its portfolio. Its first game, Remember Me, had a lukewarm reception. In a press release, Don’t Nod specifically highlighted Vampyr, and said that Tiny Bull will make use of its experience making the 2018 action-RPG.

“We are proud to welcome Tiny Bull Studios among our partners,” Don’t Nod CEO Oskar Guilbert said in a statement. “We were won over by the singular project developed by this talented studio, which underlines Don’t Nod’s commitment to supporting original creations in keeping with our mindset and values in a genre that appeals to a wide audience. We are proud to be signing our third collaboration in the space of 18 months, thereby furthering our ambitions as a publisher and bolstering our asset portfolio.

“Meaningful games have always been our focus and we are looking forward to working with such an outstanding partner on our next project,” added Tiny Bull CEO Matteo Lana.

No further details about the action-RPG were revealed but we’ll update our readers when we find out more. In the meantime, let us know what you’d like to see.

In other news, Deviation Games’ co-founder Jason Blundell has left but it apparently doesn’t impact the developer’s AAA PS5 project, and Amy Hennig’s Marvel game – rumored to feature Captain America and Black Panther – will reportedly be unveiled later today so stay tuned!
