The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice Edition

The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition for PS5 Revealed

Several entries for The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition, which could be an updated and/or definitive edition for the game, has been revealed by the Taiwanese ratings board. Published by Take-Two Asia, this version of Obsidian’s space RPG has been given an “R” rating and will release for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. As fans of the game will recognize, Spacer’s Edition refers to an in-game subsidiary of Universal Defense Logistics.

The Spacer’s Choice Edition listings have apparently been taken down

The classification listings for the game were spotted by VGC, but they seem to have already been removed by the ratings board at the time of publication. Luckily, a thread on Resetera has preserved an image of the three entries for The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition.

It’s unknown what will be included in this special edition of the game, though it will come packaged with both the Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos DLC. It could also receive some graphical improvements, as the game originally launched in October 2019 for last-gen platforms.

If this Spacer’s Choice Edition is coming to the States and other regions outside of Asia, this will likely be one of the last chances that PlayStation owners will be able to play a new game in The Outer Worlds franchise. Microsoft acquired Obsidian Entertainment in 2018, and Private Division confirmed in May 2021 that Microsoft would be publishing future iterations in the franchise.
