Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Has Reportedly Dropped Harry Osborn Voice Actor

Insomniac Games-developed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 has reportedly replaced Harry Osborn voice actor, Scott Porter. This information came from a tweet by Porter himself. However, we are marking this as a report because the tweet has since been deleted. According to a screenshot shared on Reddit, the actor divulged this information in response to a fan who praised his performance as Heimdall in God of War Ragnarok, and expressed their excitement over Porter’s return as Harry in Spider-Man 2.

Why Spider-Man 2 PS5 is replacing Harry Osborn voice actor

Porter revealed that Insomniac Games has opted for photorealism in the second game akin to what we’ve seen in the case of Peter Parker in Spider-Man Remastered. Due to the age difference between Porter and the in-game character, the studio went ahead with someone else.

“While I voiced Harry in the first Spider-Man, I unfortunately will not be in the sequel,” Porter’s now-deleted tweet read. “They decided to go photoreal and the difference between me and Harry’s ages was too much to overcome I believe. I was bummed but I get it. Gonna be an incredible game.”

We’re guessing Porter deleted the tweet because Insomniac Games wouldn’t have been thrilled to see this information made public at this stage. Oops!
