God of War Ragnarok and Modern Warfare 2 are officially trading blows on the sales charts. Santa Monica Studio’s epic adventure has overtaken Activision’s Call of Duty juggernaut in units sold for November 2022 after combining both digital and physical sales, according to the latest European GSD figures. This is just a week after we reported that Modern Warfare 2 edged out Ragnarok twice to top both the UK charts and US charts for the same time period.
God of War Ragnarok claims the top spot on Europe’s Top 10 for November 2022
Ragnarok has also surprisingly beaten FIFA 23 in Europe’s Top 10, as catalogued by GamesIndustry:
- God of War Ragnarok
- FIFA 23
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
- Pokemon Violet
- Pokemon Scarlet
- Sonic Frontiers
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Football Manager 2023
On top of that, The Last of Us Part 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, God of War reboot, and Spider-Man: Miles Morales all made the Top 20.
That said, Ragnarok might have only won on a technicality, since Nintendo has not reported digital sales for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Combining those figures together might have taken Ragnarok off the top pedestal, but I’m sure it’ll take the win nonetheless.
Even better, PS5 sales have gone up 49% while PS5 DualSense controller has become the best-selling peripheral with a 66% sales improvement compared to November 2021.
