Amazon Prime has confirmed that it has ordered a God of War TV series, and fans overwhelmingly want actor Christopher Judge to play Kratos in the show. This follows Judge’s win at The Game Awards 2022 in the Best Performance category for his role as Kratos in God of War Ragnarok.
Some God of War fans also think some WWE superstars could play Kratos
If you're not hiring @iamchrisjudge for the lead role, are you even making God of War?https://t.co/pusVIYoROu

The vast majority of fans responding to the news want Judge as Kratos, with some saying that they won’t watch the series otherwise. There are some other candidates as well, though, including several current and former WWE superstars like Dave Bautista, Triple H, and Bill Goldberg. There’s even a plea for Tom Holland and Henry Cavill.
As revealed in a report back in March and now verified by press release, the series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, and Amazon Studios. The show will follow the events of the God of War reboot from 2018, so we can expect a reimagined journey that Kratos and Atreus took through the Nordic realms.
Rafe Judkins from The Wheel of Time will be the showrunner for this God of War adaptation, with Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men, Iron Man, The Expanse) as writers and executive producers on the show. Santa Monica Studio creative director Cory Balrog will also be one of the show’s executive producers. The show has been in production since March.
