Players will need to wait a bit longer for a much-needed PS5 update to fix bugs and a broken trophy in Hogwarts Legacy. Avalanche Software announced the patch had been delayed by a few days. The Xbox Series X|S and PC players will get the update today.
When will the next Hogwarts Legacy PS5 patch be released?
Avalanche is “targeting later this week” for the next Hogwarts Legacy PS5 patch after the team found it needed to be delayed “by a few days.”
Xbox Series X & PC Hogwarts Legacy players, expect a patch today to fix bugs & performance.
Unfortunately, the PS5 patch needs to be pushed by a few days. This includes the fix for the "Collector's Edition" Trophy. We're targeting later this week. Thanks for your patience!

Patch notes for the update aren’t yet available, although we do know that the patch will fix the broken Collector’s Edition trophy where players are being hindered by a broken in-game counter. The patch should also fix bugs and other performance issues, which hopefully include the many crashing issues players have also been facing. Despite its issues, Hogwarts Legacy has been a huge success for the studio, dwarfing Elden Ring’s launch sales and taking Twitch by storm.
The good news is that players can grab a free PS5 avatar set in the meantime, as well as enter the limited-time PlayStation House Cup sweepstakes to get a chance to win a PS5 console and Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition.
