GTA 6 May Cut Content for DLC to Meet Release Window Target – Rumor

Rockstar Games may cut content for future GTA 6 DLC in order to avoid delaying the game further, reliable insider Tez2 has suggested. Tez2 has made a name for themselves when it comes to Rockstar-related leaks, so this rumor has quite a few fans concerned.

Previous rumors suggest GTA 6 DLC will include single-player content

In a screenshot circulating on Reddit (via Dexerto), Tez2 says that Rockstar is targeting a release window of holiday 2024 for GTA 6. Unfortunately, however, the game may slip into early 2025. But considering GTA 6’s scale and how long it’s been since the last GTA released, there appears to be some pressure to prevent the next entry from slipping further.

“I don’t think the upper management is in a position to delay further to holiday 2025/2026,” Tez2 wrote. “Cutting more portions of the game to package into DLCs to release later on may be sustainable for management than delaying further.”

Tez2 added that Rockstar is also going through some personnel issues as it attempts to force employees back into the office post pandemic.

Previous reports suggest that GTA 6 will have single-player DLC, which is good news for fans who were left disappointed when the studio scrapped plans for GTA V’s single-player DLC.
