HBO’s The Last of Us Season 3 Is Already Being Teased

HBO’s The Last of Us season 3 seems all but confirmed. In a new interview, co-directors Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann teased a third run but understandably refused to divulge how many seasons there will be in total.

The Last of Us season 3 will also cover The Last of Us Part 2

The Last of Us Part 2 is a much longer game than the first, and it seems that Mazin and Druckmann don’t think season 2 will be enough to cover it. Speaking to GQ Magazine, the duo said that The Last of Us Part 2’s events will take more than one season.

“No. No way,” Mazin said when asked if The Last of Us season 2, which has already been greenlit, will cover the entirety of the video game’s Part 2. “It’s more than one season,” added Druckmann.

Mazin went on to say that while he can’t reveal how many seasons the TV series will have beyond the second, “more than one is factually correct.”

Druckmann then changed the topic and said that he’s excited for The Last of Us Part 2’s story to be adapted for the TV show, and teased some changes along the way.

The Last of Us season 2 has yet to be dated. Suffice to say that season 3 is a ways away.
