The PlayStation brand has a penchant for weird ads, and the PS5 is no exception. Presumably part of the new “Live From PS5” marketing campaign, PlayStation Asia has rolled out a new ad, and it’s as weird as it gets.
New PS5 ad is all about happy endings
The ad in question revolves around a couple. The man is behaving rather strangely, and his lover is incredibly concerned. With no other resolution in sight, she does the one thing that fixes everything: gift him a PS5.
The ad is in Thai, but Sony has kindly added subtitles for the rest of us, so check it out below. The whole thing lasts three minutes but you’ll wanna stick with it.
Good one, Sony!
With PS5 supply no longer an issue, Sony has kicked off an extensive marketing campaign for the console. Gigantic installations have appeared around the globe, TV spots have turned up during Superbowl, and we’ve even seen a Horizon-themed pop-up restaurant in France.
Keep your eyes on PlayStation’s social media profiles and this webpage for what Sony calls “some fun celebrations of fan-favorite PS5 games.” The company has already organized brief in-person events and is expected to hold more.
