Looking for a cheap PS5? Sony has you covered with not only cheaper consoles but also cheaper DualSense controllers. The catch? They’re refurbished and will only be available via PlayStation Direct for now. Players have spotted several listings for officially certified refurbished PS5 consoles and DualSense controllers on Sony’s storefront, with the message that they’re “coming soon.”
How cheap are the refurbished PS5 consoles and DualSense controllers?
At the time of this writing, the listings are for the launch PS5 disc and digital editions, which will be available for $399 and $349, respectively. Pink, purple, and camoflauge DualSense controllers will be available for $64.99 each.
“Every PlayStation certified refurbished product completes a rigorous recertification process that includes full testing that meets the same functional standards as new PlayStation products,” Sony writes. “Your certified refurbished product works like new.”
Sony has pledged genuine replacement parts and clean products. What’s more is that all refurbished items will come with a one-year limited warranty.
This is a pretty good deal, especially for folks who are strapped for cash. Unfortunately, it looks like Sony will only be selling refurbished products through its official storefront, so if PS Direct doesn’t operate in your region, you’ll have to find an unofficial local equivalent.
