Sony has finally confirmed the long-rumored PlayStation State of Play for September 2024 alongside announcing a date and time for the event. Tune in this Tuesday, September 24, at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET.
Where to watch PlayStation State of Play September 2024 and what to expect
The event will be livestreamed on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. We’ll embed the livestream on PlayStation LifeStyle for our readers, so make sure to check back.
As for what to expect, if previous State of Play events are any indication, players should keep their expectations in check. Sony has promised to show “more than 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games from studios around the world” in the 30+ minute video event. However, we’re unlikely to see any major first-party games.
Sony will probably showcase Lego Horizon Adventures and Until Dawn‘s upcoming PS5 remake. We might also see the rumored Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn remasters.
Among third-party games, we’re expecting Sony to drum up some more interest in Silent Hill 2 remake ahead of its October launch. The highly anticipated game is console exclusive to PS5 for one year.
