PS5 Pro Being Supported by Major 3rd Party Devs and Publishers

Sony plans to bring more powerful consoles to living rooms around the world with PS5 Pro. Boasting a more powerful GPU, AI driven upscaling, and advanced ray tracing, PlayStation inches closer to visual quality similar to high end PC gaming. Obviously, Sony’s first party studios will take advantage of the new hardware for its new and existing games, and it turns out many third party studios and publishers like Ubisoft, EA, and Remedy Entertainment will support the enhanced console too.

PS5 Pro receiving industry wide support from major companies

In a recent PlayStation Blog post, many developers and publishers have made statements on how they plan to use the PS5 Pro. These include statements from 3rd party developers and publishers.

“We are excited to see how Dragon Age: The Veilguard will lean into the power that PS5 Pro unlocks for players,” said Bioware studio technical director Maciej Kurowski. “Whether you love deep progression, strategic combat, or diving into the lore of Dragon Age, you will immediately notice the improved experience with PS5 Pro.”

“Our graphics engineers at Remedy have greatly enjoyed improving Alan Wake 2 for PS5 Pro together with the team at Sony Interactive,” said Remedy Entertainment communications director Thomas Puha. “With a game like Alan Wake 2, where the mood and environmental story-telling are essential, bringing ray tracing to the game as a brand new feature adds another layer of immersion.”

“With the power and new features of PS5 Pro, we had the opportunity to push visual settings and details even further: sharper and cleaner image quality thanks to PSSR, with more objects on-screen – decals, vegetation, crowds – all running at 60fps,” says Ubisoft Ivory Tower technical director Didier Blanché. “All combined, we think we’ve found the most intense way to experience the game.”

Other studio and publisher statements included Avalanche Software, Capcom, Respawn Entertainment, Koei Tecmo, Konami, Nexon Games, Shift Up, and Square Enix. With so many companies planning to utilize the enhanced console’s capabilities, it is clear the PS5 Pro is receiving industry wide support, bringing PC-like quality to living room televisions.
