Sony quietly rolled out PS Stars October 2024 update, slightly improving the program’s PS Store rewards section. While we still recommend redeeming your points against Wallet funds, players in regions where higher taxes are applied on top of PS Store prices might benefit from the update.
PS Stars October 2024 update may vary between members and markets
As a reminder, PS Stars campaigns and PS Store rewards vary between members and regions, as highlighted in the program’s terms of service. This means that the rewards highlighted below might not appear for all of our readers. However, the section has been updated this month, so you should see more offers than before.
With that out of the way, Sony is offering Astro Bot digital deluxe edition upgrade for 2,500 points (full game for 15,000 points), Stellar Blade digital deluxe edition upgrade for 2,500 points (full game for 17,500 points), Doom 1+2 for 2,500 points, and Hunt: Showdown 1896 for 7,500 points, among other rewards.
Digital currency hasn’t gone anywhere, but it’s nice to see more games than microtransactions as rewards.
Again, these rewards will only benefit those whose regional PS Store prices come up higher than usual due to taxes. Everyone else should stick to PS Store Wallet funds.
