Game Science and PM Studios have revealed the Black Myth: Wukong PS5 physical edition. It will be available at the PM Studios store and retailers in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand “soon.”
What is the Black Myth: Wukong PS5 physical edition
The Black Myth: Wukong PS5 physical edition brings one of 2024’s best selling games to physical retailers. There isn’t much about this disc version that stands out. Like any PS5 physical edition, it comes with a game enclosed in the platform’s blue casing. It does include the Deluxe Edition voucher, giving players the same Deluxe Edition offerings of the digital version. Here is what the voucher includes:
- Weapon: Bronzecloud Staff
- Equipment: Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers, and Folk Opera Buskins
- Curio: Wind Chimes
- Selected Digital Soundtrack
PM Studios took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify some questions about the physical edition and its Deluxe Edition voucher. The base game will be on the disc and an internet connection is not required to play. However, the Deluxe Edition voucher is a code and will require an internet connection to redeem.
A price for the Black Myth: Wukong PS5 physical edition has not yet been announced. Currently, the game costs $59.99 for the base game and $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Since the physical edition comes with the Deluxe Edition content, it may be safe to expect it to cost around $69.99. Specific retailers have not been announced yet either.
“Making its debut on Steam and the PlayStation store in August, Black Myth: Wukong quickly started shattering records,” says a statement from PM Studios. “Selling over 20 million units in a single month, Black Myth: Wukong has the highest concurrent player count for a single-player game on Steam ever, with over 2.4 million concurrent players. Players will finally be able to put Black Myth: Wukong in their own hands and set the case with its beautiful cover art on their shelves at home.”
