PS5 system software update 24.07-10.20.00 patch notes (October 22/23, 2024)
Complete patch notes for the firmware update, which weighs over 1 GB, is as follows:
- Activities now display as In Progress, Not Started, or Completed, depending on whether you have ever started or completed the activity.
- Potential spoilers will still be hidden.
- We’ve improved system software performance and stability.
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.
Unfortunately, the update didn’t bring back the Resume Activity feature, which Sony quietly pulled in September. Last month, PS5 users received two updates, one of which was rolled out to fix issues causes by the big Welcome Hub patch.
Speaking of Welcome Hub, the feature has now been rolled out worldwide. If you still haven’t received it, go to your PS5’s home screen, navigate to Settings, then System, and finally, System Feature Updates.
If there are any changes introduced by the latest system update that aren’t listed in the patch notes above, we’ll make sure to note them for our readers.
