Astro Bot update for free DLC speedrun level 2, Let it Slide, is out now. The bonus challenge comes with two bots to rescue, a bronze trophy to pop, and the opportunity to brag if you’re fast enough to climb the online leaderboards.
Astro Bot ‘Let it Slide’ update details (October 17, 2024)
Completing Let it Slide will grant players the ‘Ice-cold Rescue’ bronze trophy. You only need to rescue one of the two bots to pop the trophy, but all bots in the Stellar Speedway DLC pack need to be rescued for the silver ‘Fast and Found’ trophy. Stellar Speedway is the title of the free DLC pack that contains the four speedrun levels.
With Building Speed and Let it Slide out, the following speedrun levels remain:
- Oct 31: Spring-loaded Run
- Nov 7: Helium Heights
- Nov 14: Rising Heat
All three levels above will be out at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET on their respective dates, per Team Asobi.
Astro Bot is off to a fantastic start, if its commercial performance in several regions is anything to go by. As revealed yesterday, it was the second best-selling game in its launch month in the U.S., and in Europe, it’s outperforming every non-Mario platformer released over the last decade.
