PS Stars Wallet fund rewards have disappeared for a large number of users, while others are seeing only one denomination where there used to be three. The problem began sometime yesterday, and at the time of this writing, still hasn’t been resolved. It’s unclear if this is a glitch or if Sony is in the process of removing Wallet fund rewards.
Why have PS Stars Wallet fund rewards disappeared?
We first saw complaints of missing PS Stars Wallet funds on Reddit, where many members reported that the entire section has disappeared for them. Others have said that they now only have one denomination of 10 available to them. Although denominations vary by region, the most common were 5, 10, and 20/25 or above.
I checked my PS App following an update and can confirm that I no longer have the option of £5 or £20. I checked with a colleague in the U.S., who confirmed that they only have the $10 option available to them now.
The denomination of 5 was the most popular one as it allowed members to cash out relatively quickly. With PS Stars points now having an expiry date, losing this option is certainly a bummer.
Interestingly, a small number of users have said that they see no change on their end, and the Wallet funds section is intact. This leads us to believe (and hope) that Wallet funds aren’t being removed entirely, and this is just another PS Stars glitch.
Worth noting that Sony’s revising PS Stars terms of service this month, as previously announced, and may be in the process of making changes to rewards.
We’ll keep an eye on the situation and keep our readers posted. In the meantime, we highly recommend converting your points to Wallet funds ASAP, if you’ve racked up enough to cash out.
