Following an earlier leak that revealed some of the PS5 Black Friday 2024 offers, a known leaker has shared more info on the promotion. The highly-anticipated sale on consoles will reportedly kick off on Friday, November 22. We expect discounts on video games, accessories, and official merchandise (including PS Portal) to come into effect around the same time.
What we know about PS5 Black Friday 2024 offers thus far
Dealabs user billbil-kun, who’s spot on with their leaks, previously reported that both the PS5 disc and digital editions will come with Fortnite Cobalt Star packs for $424.99 and edition $374.99, respectively. They are now reporting that base consoles will also be discounted by about $70 each from November 22 to December 12.
Interestingly, earlier this week, Sony published an ad announcing a $70 price drop in the U.S. valid until December 24. But that ad has now been pulled. We’re not sure if that promotion is an extension of Sony’s Black Friday deals or not.
Those looking to purchase a standard PS5 and its accessories or games are advised to hold off until next week. Don’t expect any official discounts on the PS5 Pro.
As for video games, there will be an annual PS Store sale. Those who want to pick up physical copies should keep an eye on Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Discounted accessories and merchandise will be available via PS Direct as well as the aforementioned retailers.
