PS5 Exclusives Dominate The Game Awards 2024 Nominees

Today, Geoff Keighley revealed The Game Awards 2024 nominees for all categories. PlayStation looks poised to have a good year, as current PS5 exclusives are included in a whole spate of categories — including Game of the Year.

Three current PS5 console exclusives nominated for The Game Awards 2024 Game of the Year

This year’s Game of the Year category is interesting as The Game Awards have recently reiterated on what games are eligible for the coveted award. DLC, remasters, and remakes are all eligible for the category which obviously signaled Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s inclusion on the list.

Despite that controversy, PlayStation looks to be doing well. Three current PS5 console exclusives are included in Game of the Year. Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth all made the coveted list along with Erdtree, and indie darling Balatro.
