Horizon-like open-world game Light of Motiram is headed to the PS5 alongside PC and mobile devices, Tencent has announced. Following its reveal last week, Light of Motiram was called a “Horizon clone,” with some expecting Sony to take legal action. But the company was spotted giving the game a warm welcome on its console.
Light of Motiram is headed to PS5 in 2025, and will be a free-to-play game
As spotted by Gematsu, PlayStation’s official Chinese accounts on Weibo and Bilibili not only announced the news, but also shared Light of Motiram’s gameplay, indicating that Sony’s more than happy to allow PS5 players to step into the Chinese “mechanimal-ruled open world.”
Players have been treated to 16 minutes of footage from Light of Motiram, a copy of which you can see below:
In addition to previously announced information, it has been confirmed that Light of Motiram is a free-to-play co-op multiplayer game that’ll launch in 2025. Cross-play will be supported at launch.
“Team up with up to 10 players to tackle daunting challenges together,” reads an official description. “No matter where you are, embark on adventures with your friends anytime and enjoy a seamless gaming experience.”
Light of Motiram has not been confirmed for Xbox at this time.
