With Deck Nine‘s success in its previous entry, Life is Strange: Double Exposure seemed like a slam dunk. The developer had a critical hit with True Colors, and the return of Max Caulfield was enough of a reason for fans to be excited. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the same highs as its predecessor, and now Square Enix is asking players for feedback.

A recent email with the subject line “Calling all Life Is Strange fans: We want to hear from YOU!” has asked fans to complete a 15 minute online survey. The survey begins with some general questions based on how you answer, but eventually asks questions specific to Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
Much of the survey asks Life is Strange: Double Exposure players about the quality of the game’s story, features, and technical performance. Most of this is represented in a 5 point scale ranging from “Very Dissatisfied” to “Very Satisfied.” It also asks if players thought the game was worth purchasing, and if their experience with Double Exposure impacted their interest to play a new game in the series.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure launched in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It received mixed reviews, garnering a 73 metascore on Metacritic. At our sister site ComingSoon.net, Tyler Treese gave it a seven out of ten saying, “Life is Strange: Double Exposure isn’t as nearly as charming as Max Caulfield’s first adventure, nor is it as well-written as Deck Nine’s prior game, True Colors.”
In comparison, True Colors received fairly favorable reviews when it launched back in 2021. It got an 81 metascore on Metacritic. ComingSoon.net said in their eight out of ten review, “With an impactful story, fleshed-out characters, and some of the best writing the series has seen so far, Life Is Strange: True Colors is a triumphant success.”
