PSA: Potential 2025 GOTY Contender Available on PS Plus Today

Sony’s video game subscription service PlayStation Plus isn’t a stranger to giving out free games to its subscribers. However, it’s not often these free redeemable games are both available on launch day and are game of the year contenders. Blue Prince is one of these games, however, and it is available today.

Blue Prince is available now for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers

Blue Prince is available today for PS5 and critics are raving about the first-person puzzle game. As of this writing, according to the review aggregate site Metacritic, Dogubomb’s debut currently averages a review score of 92 across 21 critic reviews. Reviews just released today for the game, so it’s possible more reviews will be added to the stack throughout the week, which may affect the average score either negatively or positively.

“Welcome to Mt. Holly, the mysterious manor with shifting rooms,” reads the PS Store description. “In Blue Prince, you embark on a genre-defying experience, filled with a unique mix of mystery, strategy, and puzzles that weave together to create an unpredictable journey. Will your explorative steps lead you to the rumored Room 46?”

As previously mentioned, this is the first game by developer Dogubomb. The studio is made up of people who have worked on projects for Netflix, ABC, and Magic: The Gathering. Raw Fury, who is known for publishing Norco and Sable, are publishing the game.

Blue Prince is available for PS5 right now. PS Plus subscribers can check out the game at no additional cost. The catch is this offer is only available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. Players interested in checking out the game of the year contender can purchase a month of PS Plus Extra for $14.99 or PS Plus Premium for $17.99.

Also available on launch day through a PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription is Tape 2 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.
