Marvel Vs. Capcom 3… Speak Your Mind!

Marvel Vs. Capcom is a great series.  After every game, though, fan’s (myself included) aren’t always satisfied with the roster. You probably find yourself asking the same questions I do: Why isn’t *insert character name here* in the game? Why did they include that guy? Your kidding me, of all the choices they picked her? So I started thinking:

Let’s ask the PSLS Community who they want to see in the game?

It’s not just the fans that want good characters in the game — Ryota Niitsuma, producer for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 does too. He had this to say to EGM:

There’s some people who do come to me and ask if their characters would suit the game. There’s [also] me going to people and saying ‘what do you think about your characters in the game?

I decided to lobby for two characters I think would be perfect – One Marvel and One Capcom.

Strider Hiryu

Ok, Strider isn’t new, however, he is a Capcom staple. Strider is, in my opinion, the epitome of what it means to be a cool ninja. His Cypher is awesome, he has extremely damaging combos, and is extremely fast –- Strider has the ability to put opponents in a choke-hold with no room to breathe when he’s used correctly.  He’s been in  Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 – There is no reason he shouldn’t be in 3.

X-23

After 22 failed attempts a  successful clone of Wolverine is made.  – She just happens to be female. X-23 share’s Wolverines healing factor, speed, reflexes and enhanced senses. She isn’t without weapons of her own – She has two retractable claws on each hand, and one on each foot all laced with adamantium. Why X-23? Wolverine is incredibly fast, strong, and has devastating moves. X-23 is decades younger than Wolverine. She should be twice as fast, have better hit recovery, a faster healing factor, and her moves should have no lag unlike Wolverine (if they follow the comics even vaguely). Besides that, she’s just plain awesome and would easily be the best choice amongst the female crop of characters in the game.

Some might argue if you’re going for a “counter” Wolverine character go for Daken Akihiro Wolverine’s son or what about Sabretooth? Honestly, I never cared for Sabretooth’s move-set or  his character design. As far as Daken…maybe.  But I submit there are two types of people in this world: those who like Daken, and those who don’t. Personally, I do not like him on a plane, I do not like him on a train.

Enough of me rambling. Who do you want to see added to the game? Capcom appears to be open suggestions – Therefore, I call upon the power of the PlayStation LifeStyle community to come up with some characters. If you hate my ideas, that’s fine – Let’s just generate some discussion this!

Sorry if that call out sounded a little power of Grayskull-ish – I had a weird Dolph Lundgren flashback when I was writing that.
