L.A. Noire Faces Yet Another Delay

Those who may have been looking forward to getting your hands on RockStar’s upcoming crime thriller, L.A. Noire, may have to wait a bit longer, as it looks like the title will be facing a hefty delay.

While addressing investors, Pacific Crest Securities’ Evan Wilson has cited video game retailers as indication that a L.A. Noire delay is imminent.

We have confirmed the delay of L.A. Noire from fiscal Q4 (Oct.) well into [fiscal] 2011 [November 1, 2010 to October 31, 2011]

As far as we can tell, Take-Two has not shown the game to retailers.

Clearly, management either has no control over the release of its games, cannot accurately predict the timing of their completion or is not concerned with the forecasts it issues to investors…

Based on that comment alone, the delay will more than likely become a reality, leading us to expect a 2011 Q2 release as opposed to the initially expected Q1 release. Hopefully we won’t here the word “canceled” uttered, as Warner Bros. Interactive’s multi-million dollar title ‘This is Vegas’ just recently bit the dust.

RockStar are  currently hard at work on the PS3-exclusive Agent, as well as the long-rumored Grand Theft Auto V, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we receive a concrete release date for L.A. Noire. Until then, be sure to stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for all the latest L.A. Noire news.
