The PlayStation 3 platform is set to have another RPG grace its black beauty, this time in the form of Rune Factory: Oceans. The game is currently in development by Neverland Co. and will be the fifth game in the Rune Factory series as well as the first to release on a Sony console.
For those who have yet to enjoy the series, Rune Factory is similar to Harvest Moon in that it allows players to farm and form relationships, but with the added benefit of a real-time battle system. In the game you will play a male named Azel and a cute female who goes by the name Sonia who travel the world on the back of a Ymir who is capable of lifting whole islands.
The games Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto has said that the game is very deep into development and was brought out to multiple platforms to reach a wider audience. Hopefully this game will make it outside of Japan and give North American PS3 owners yet another RPG to enjoy in the near future.
